Ian M. Berkowitz, a Boca Raton Business Lawyer, has spent his professional career assisting businessmen and women start, expand and grow their businesses to their full potential. Mr. Berkowitz was a former member of the firm, The Heideman Law Group, P.C. in Washington D.C. While at the firm, lan’s primary areas of expertise were business and corporate law, which included business development, financing, joint ventures, federal assistance programs and federal procurement. Prior to joining the Heideman Law Group, Ian served as an Attorney/Advisor to the United States Small Business Administration, Office of Hearings & Appeals in Washington D.C. In this capacity, he assisted administrative judges render decisions by reviewing and analyzing records of appeals filed with the Court regarding Federal Procurement, Business Financing Programs, Government Assistance Programs, Minority Business Programs, Employee Grievances and the Freedom of Information Act. He began his service for the federal government in the disaster assistance division of the U. S. Small Business Administration in Miami, Florida. Ian organized and supervised the Agency’s 250+ employee legal department during Hurricane Andrew. He was also a clinical intern for the Department of Justice, U.S. Trustee. Ian M. Berkowitz is a member of the Florida Bar, the United States Supreme Court Bar, the American Bar Association, and the Federal Bar. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin, his Juris Doctorate from Nova University and his Master(s) in Government from the John Hopkins University.
